With preliminary conceptual mine plans in place, my client is currently seeking a number of Coal Mining Project Managers to take their operations and organisation into full swing. Assets are based in Mpumalanga and KZN.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct investigations into the feasibility of opportunities identified (including scoping, pre-feasibility and / or feasibility phases)
• Accurate project planning / mine design for implementation phase
• Establishment and management of internal and external stakeholder relationships that builds support for the department
Requirements:
• Relevant 4 year degree (or Hon)
• At least 6 year's project management experience in an open-cast mining environment
• Coal Mining experience
• A Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
• A formal qualification in Project management and/or Professional Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
