One international mining client is urgently seeking a HR Manager to be based at their corporate office in Sandton.

Responsibilities:

·         Overall responsibility for the corporate recruitment function
·         Development and management of talent acquisition, succession and retention strategies
·         Management of corporate study-aid schemes
·         Advise management on and the development of best practice policies relating to ER/IR/HR
·         Develop, implement and manage HR/ER/IR functions
·         Adhering to values and principles: Upholding ethics and values, acting with integrity and promoting equal opportunities
·         Deciding and initiating action: Making effective decisions even under difficult circumstances, taking responsibility and showing initiative
·         Reporting on HR developments, policies and functions
·         Sound leadership skills: Providing others with direction, establishing standards of behaviour for others and motivating and empowering individuals.
·         Working with people: Demonstrating interest in others, working effectively in teams, building team spirit and showing care and consideration for individuals.
·         Presenting and communicating information: Speaking clearly and fluently, expressing opinions and arguments clearly and convincingly and making presentations with confidence.
Requirements:

·         In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation
·         Good project management track record
·         8 years’ experience in human resources management in a large corporate environment, mining environment is on
·         Been at a managerial position for at least 2 – 3 years’
·         Great understanding of talent management processes
·         A relevant or equivalent post graduate qualification.
