An international client is urgently seeking as Communications/Corporate Liaison Manager position for their coal mining company

Responsibilities:

·     Custodian of the Social and Labour Plan and Corporate Social Investment
  • Direct consultation with relevant Government Departments regarding mining policies/regulations
  • Manage shareholder negotiations and ensure compliance with mining regulations and implementation of
  • Responsible for improving the company’s profile in the mining industry
  • Prepare and manage stakeholder relations budget
  • Support the General Manager in the preparation of prospecting rights
  • Support the Project Manager in mining rights applications
  • Promote regular interaction between the company with key external stakeholders, local and provincial government, traditional authorities, NGO’s and other committees.
  • Develop and Implement the consultation strategy for the Environmental Impact Assessment scoping and feedback strategy
  • Engage local mining industry with regards to partnership in local and enterprise development
  • Liaise with the Department of Minerals and Industry on Environmental Impact Assessment stakeholder feedback implementation strategy
Requirements:
·         5-7 years’ corporate liaison or relevant experience within the mining industry
·         B.Comm/BA Corporate Communication degree or relevant qualification
·         Good networking and negotiating skills
·         Networks with government departments
·         Good communication skills
