My client operating within the Climate Change and Energy Sector is currently seeking an established and strategically focused Senior Manager to manage their Carbon and Climate Change Business Unit on a 3 year contract. You will be responsible for guiding their expansion in this market whilst ensuring business operations are efficient and effective.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Development and review of an updated corporate plan in line with company mandates, policies and procedures
• Implements the Corporate plan and achieve KPIs
• Project origination (CDM projects, acquisition of clients for climate change related consultancy)
• Produce multi-year plans, budgets and reports
• Promote and facilitate business alignment with key policy changes
• Day to day operations management
• Plan and prepare for conferences and regional events

• Working as part of a diverse professional and multicultural team
• Financial planning, budgeting and monitoring.

Chief Mine Surveyor – Northern Cape – GM353

My client is looking for a Chief Mine Surveyor to provide an effective and efficient surveying service to the mine which supports the achievement of mining targets as well as ensures a high performance survey workforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure the accurate surveying and reconciliation of all mining related operations
• Ensure the production surveys meet short term production planning needs to achieve the mine's targets
• Constructing and maintaining mining production survey plans and statutory plans as well as conduct construction and civil surveying, as required.
• Slope monitoring surveys as prescribed by the mine's code of practice will also form part of your responsibilities
• Responsible for cadastral surveying in compliance with pertinent prospecting, mining and land survey legislation and ensure that financial planning and expenditure is monitored and managed to maximise ROI
• Sourcing, development and deployment of competent human resources to maximise organisational benefit
• Be an effective member of the Mineral Resource Management team.

REQUIREMENTS
• You will need at least 7 year's post-qualification experience in the mining environment of which 3 years should be in a supervisory / management role
• Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency for appointment under regulation 17.2 of the MHSA, as well as a relevant tertiary qualification in surveying, mine surveying or mineral resource management (diploma or degree)
• Registered with PLATO as a Mine Surveyor or Professional Mine Surveyor
• A postgraduate management qualification (e.g. MDP/PME) would be advantageous

An international coal producing company with South African operations is urgently seeking an SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER to interpret the 5 year plan into a comprehensive 2 year budget for their South African operation


RESPONSIBILTIES:
·         Facilitate the 2 year budgeting process across all operations functions
