CA Mining: has a client who is looking for an Exploration Geologist to join their team at their Jhb office, to provide support to their various project sites and to manage the exploration projects of the company Group. The successful incumbent will be reporting directly to the CFO

Responsibilities:
•        Manage the portfolio consisting of 3-5 projects at different stages of development
•        Provide guidance on whether to develop assets
•        To oversee the geology function at their project
•        To manage the licensing/ mining rights applications
•        Liaising with relevant government departments (e.g. DMR)
•        Managing the relationship between government, communities and the company
•        Liaising with external consultants – provide info on resources updates and managing site visits
•        Manage drilling contractors
•        Tracking and updating project schedules

Requirements:
•        BSc Honours Geology/ Mining 
•        3 – 5 years in a mining environment
•        Coal experience is a pre-requisite
•        Project development experience
•        Exploration experience
•        Modelling experience
•        Experience in dealing with the DMR
•        Knowledge of relevant mining legislation
•        Commercial experience is an advantage

Responsibilities:
