An international mining client is urgently seeking a Mine Processing Planner at their operation in Mpumalanga
Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
· Developing sophisticated models in excel experience
· Coal processing plant experience is advantageous
· Mine Planning specific software knowledge is advantageous
· Business and financial modelling is critical and experience working as a business analyst or financial analyst would be an asset
· National Diploma in Mining Engineering
Responsibilities
· Responsible for compliance in respect to Company policies and procedures.
· Accountable for mentoring and developing direct reports, so they become more effective with their role and grow in professional competence.
· Initiates and assists with the hiring of personnel.
· Ensures that personnel are effectively developed and utilized as per work planning.
· Coaches and provides technical assistance to personnel.
· Responsible for developing and regular measuring of personnel’s Personal Development Plans and Performance contracts.
· Ensures adherence to own Personal Development Plans and Performance contract.
· Be a champion of the highest standards of safety and environmental behaviour and performance.
· Carries out all duties in compliance with HSEC requirements.
· Determination and communication of potential risks and measures to limit those risks at the lowest cost.
· Investigates non-conformance to mining activities, monitors compliance to plan and identifies areas for improvement and implement solutions.
· Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to achieve coal quality compliance and tracking objectives.
· Develop, implement, modify and maintain models to facilitate coal allocation and forecast coal product volumes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
· Ensure that plans are efficiently designed to optimize economic value
· Develop effective monitoring and reporting systems. Undertaking continued reporting improvement initiatives in conjunction with plant management
· Provides continued budget inputs, project input and support on any logistics infrastructure required to manage coal flow.
