CA Mining has a multi-national client that is urgently seeking a Chief Mine Surveyor for their mine in the Northern Cape.
Responsibilities:
·         Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment that meets all statutory requirements.
·         Provide an effective and efficient surveying service to the mine which supports the achievement of mining targets as well as ensures a high performance survey workforce. 
·         You will need to ensure the accurate surveying and reconciliation of all mining related operations as well as making sure the production surveys meet short term production planning needs to achieve the mine's targets. 
·         You will be responsible for constructing and maintaining mining production survey plans and statutory plans as well as conduct construction and civil surveying, as required. 
·         Slope monitoring surveys as prescribed by the mine's code of practice will also form part of your responsibilities. 
·         Also responsible for cadastral surveying in compliance with pertinent prospecting, mining and land survey legislation and ensure that financial planning and expenditure is monitored and managed to maximise company’s ROI. 
·         Obtaining, development and deployment of competent human resources to maximise organisational benefit.
·         To be an effective member of the Mineral Resource Management team.
Requirements:
·         Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency for appointment under regulation 17.2 of the MHSA, as well as a relevant tertiary qualification in surveying, mine surveying or mineral resource management (diploma or degree) 
·         Registration with PLATO as a Mine Surveyor or Professional Mine Surveyor 
·         Postgraduate management qualification such as MDP/PME would be advantageous
·         7 year's post-qualification experience in the mining environment of which 3 years should be in a supervisory / management role 
·         Ability to manage a team of surveyors (permanent and contractor persons) as well as be computer literate for relevant systems and applications 
·         Valid driver's license
·         Will be expected to pass a medical fitness examination

CA Mining has an multi-national client seeking a Nursing Services Manager to utilise his/her skills and knowledge within the Health Services field to ensure the application of management systems, processes, policies and resources provided, to meet the occupational health demands of the company, apply legislation and best practise principles and to ensure quality and quantity of work as a priority. Also ensure the analysis of data and overall management for the service.

Responsibilities:

Nursing Service Administration
·         Collects data from Unit Managers and systems information analyse data and report summarised version with recommendation to the Health Services Manager.
·         Performs functions as delegated by the Health Services Manager, and report progress to the Health Services Manager e.g. leads a quality assurance program, conducting site visits, leads the implementation of action plans, investigates scenarios on which the Health Services Manager base decisions.
·         Monitor and keeps record of the number and details of incidents, Medico-Legal Hazards that require further investigations, monitor and solve them, and provide the information to the Health Services Manager and Legal advisors.
·         Provide input into the Nursing Services workshop, forums and planning sessions.

Staff Management
·         Ensure that the Mission, Philosophy and Objective of the services are maintained.
·         Oversees the routine staff allocations by assisting the Unit Managers to resolve staff problems.
·         Workout the staffing requirements for each nursing department level based on bed occupancy.
·         To assess the patients acuity levels on a daily basis and allocate staff accordingly.
·         Attend to the staff issues as required e.g. interviewing, counselling, maintain discipline as required.
·         Support staff at all times.
·         Training and development. The program plans with Unit Managers.
·         In-service Education Co-ordinator, sending staff to Seminars, workshops and for further Training.
·         Appraisals are monitored and evaluations done quarterly, and remedial actions taken.

Financial Functions
·         Compiling of Nursing Services Annual Budget for the Health Services Manager by calculating the proposed budget submitted by the Unit Managers.
·         Ensure effective control on budget.
·         Plans for stock control programs and insisting on minimal stock levels in all departments.
·         Keep records of purchasing, servicing of all equipment in the nursing department.
·         Keep monthly records of all inventories, linen and equipment.
·         Ensure zero tolerance to Medico-Legal, Theft and vandalism, and wastage by all means.

Leadership
·         To lead by example and ensure organisational culture of professionalism.

·         Scheduling of meetings to establish effective information and communication systems e.g. handling of patients, grievances on the spot by interviewing staff and patients, and Labour Relation problems by monthly and Ad-Hoc meetings.
·         Conducts (fourth monthly meetings with Unit Managers), monthly meetings with Professional Nurses, Assistant Nurses, and Ward Assistants) to establish any complaints, satisfaction.
·         Writing monthly meetings for the Hospital Management report.
·         Acts as the Chairperson for Health & Safety and Infection Control Committees for the hospital.
·         Attends meetings, congresses, symposiums and provide feedback for the hospital.

·         Ensure management plans are carried out.

·         Maintains that stock is checked, charged, billed correctly at all times.
