CA Mining has a multi-national client urgently seeking a Mining Manager to be responsible for managing company Pre-strip mining fleet and Contractor Operations to remove 110 million tons of waste and for ensuring that annual ramp-up (30 million tons p.a.) on top of current production rate is achieved (amongst other deliverables).
Responsibilities:
· To manage the company Pre-strip mining fleet and Contractor Operations to remove 110 million tonnes of waste,
· Ensuring that annual ramp-up (30 million tonnes pa) on top of current production rate is achieved.
· Ensure that the business plan contributes to the overall success of the mine with the focus on mining production and mining operations,
· Ensure that the outputs and strategic objectives of the Mining Department are met.
· A BSc (Mining Engineering) or BEng (Mining) degree
· 8-10 years' relevant work experience and a valid Code 08 driver's licence.
· A Mine Managers' Certificate of Competency would be advantageous,
· In-depth knowledge of open-cast mining would also prove beneficial.
· A strategic mind frame, coupled with astute business acumen and management skills, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good interpersonal and relationship-building skills
