Evaluation Geology Superintendent – Base Metals – GM350

I am seeking a qualified and experienced Evaluation Geologist to provide input into my client’s Resource Management Strategy whilst managing all resource modelling activities.

Responsibilities
• Provide input into the resource management strategy
• Research, evaluate and apply resource modeling methodologies (ore body modeling techniques, classification techniques and risk assessment) and implement approved models
• Develop an externally auditable geological database and block model for life of mine that conforms to international best practice
• Develop and implement a best practice Ore Reconciliation System with monthly reporting and meetings
• Compile monthly/quarterly/annual technical reports to management
• Ensure QA/QC of assay data
• Formulate budget according to activity plan
• Control costs per activity and monitor expenditure and ensure that budget is not overspent
• Execute Datamine, SABLE and MRM database audits
• Perform resource evaluations for projects and operations
• Update and monitor data quality
• Specification, development, testing and implementation of new data systems
• Ensure integration of data between application systems

Requirements:
• B.Sc Geology (Hons)
• 5-6 years experience in Geology of which a portion must be in Geostatistics, Variography and Block model construction
• Valid Drivers License
• Medical Fitness Certificate
• Additional qualifications Geostatistics, Variography, Block model construction and Mineral Resource Evaluation
• Registered as a Pr.Sci.Nat
• A good working knowledge of Sable and Datamine or similar programs
• A strong background in or qualifications in Mine Reconciliation
