Mine Planners – Open Pit and Underground

My client is one of the leading Mining Consultancy companies and their South African operations are currently in need of 2 Mine Planners with experience in both open pit and underground mining operations.

Responsibilities:
• To ensure that mining plans optimize the utilization of the resource over time
• Provide mine designs and waste dump designs
• Ensure that all medium and long range plans are communicated to the Senior Mining Engineering staff, and that all plans are conformed to in the short term
• Ensure the mining fleet is configured appropriately to the medium and long range plans
• Compilation of mining data for budgeting purposes
• Calculate reserves
• Provide guidance to Senior Mine Engineers on issues of design and planning feasibility
• Take full responsibility for LOM and annual plans, Mine Design, Mine Planning and Scheduling and Mine Development planning

Requirements:
• 5 years open pit or underground mine planning and scheduling experience
• Degree status or equivalent recognised tertiary qualification will be required
