Mine Manager – Diamond –Northern Cape

Our client – a leading mining company is in need of a Mine Manager at their open pit mine

Responsibilities:

• Directing and managing all mining production activities.
• Managing  all capital projects of the mine and applications of the Finance of all capital projects
• Review mining methods and implements optimisation programs where appropriate
• Monitors production results on a progressive basis and prepares monthly progress and variance reports
• Interphases with other departmental managers and superintendents as part of the management team
• Ensure the provisions of the act and regulations are complied with and the implementation of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System within the underground mine

Required:

• 10 years’ experience in open pit mining (at least 5 years at a management level)
• BSc degree in Mining Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification
• Mine Manager Government Certificate of Competency essential

·         Experience in a senior mine planning and production roles in a underground production in an underground mine
