My client is seeking Safety Officers for their exploration projects across the Free State and Mpumalanga.
If you are an appropriately qualified safety officer with experience in exploration and mining, this full-time, permanent position in the company’s SHEQ Department, reporting to the Chief Safety Officer, is for you.
Requirements
• At least five years’ hands-on working experience in exploration and mining
• National Diploma in Safety Management (NADSAM)
• Certificate of Training in OHSAS 18001 system auditing
• Thorough knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act (Act 29 of 1996), Compensation of Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, Explosives Act, etc
• Excellent communications skills – verbal and written
• Valid drivers’ licence (code 08)
• Willingness to stay on-site as and when required
