With preliminary conceptual mine plans in place, my client is currently seeking a number of Open Cast Mining Engineers to take their operations and organisation into full swing. Assets are based in Mpumalanga and KZN.
Responsibilities:
• Tactical management of the mining engineering function
• Implement approved operational/functional strategies
• Introduce new methods and procedures which will optimize productivity
• Render an advisory service to management regarding integration of multi-disciplinary inputs
• The strategy of primary and secondary equipment needed to execute the Life of Mine Plan
• The standards used by Mining Operations for their budgeting and business planning processes
• Investigations or feasibility studies to support Mining strategies and the supply of business information to the Manager Mining
• Execution of mining relevant projects
• Work ethics is of such a nature that it benefits the company and everyone working for it
• Adherence to all safety and health standards and promote good housekeeping on an ongoing basis
Requirements:
• Relevant 4 year degree (or Hon)
• At least 6 year's relevant experience in an open-cast mining environment
• Coal Mining experience
• A Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
