Quality Controller – Coal Laboratories - South Africa

The incumbent will be required to plan, lead, organize and execute the implementation and monitoring of quality management systems in my client’s coal laboratories.

Responsibilities
• Assist with strategic planning for quality within my client’s Africa operations
• Champion the implementation and facilitation of the quality management system
• Assist with strategic accreditation processes
• Conduct process, ISO17025 quality system, baseline and Technical governance audits
• Provide quality related training as required
• Create quality awareness at all staff levels
• Monitor the effectiveness of improvement systems
• Monitor Quality Control data
• Assist with the compilation of quality statistics
• Assist with management reviews
• Provide constant feedback to manager and relevant business line managers on status of quality
• Assist with the compilation/editing of quality system documents
• Ensure that all SANAS application packs are completed for submission and monitor follow up
• Ensure integrity of monthly QHSE report
• Assist with the control of precious metals
• Co-ordinate the proficiency testing process
• Evaluate the monthly QHSE reports and compile KPI reports for the region

Requirements
• Degree or Diploma in Science
• 6 Years work experience in a testing or production environment
• 2 Years quality management system experience (ISO 9000, 17025 or other)
• Experience within a Coal Laboratory/testing environment
• Advance Microsoft software experience
• Document and report writing experience
• Statistical Quality Control knowledge
