Responsibilities:
• Conduct feasibility studies, Basic Assessments Reports (BAR) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) according to EIA legislation
• Plan, co-ordinate and facilitate Public Participation Processes (PPP)
• Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMP’s)
• Conduct environmental monitoring, reviews and audits
• Develop and assist with compiling project proposals, environmental reports and training and awareness material
• Liaise with clients in both the private and public sectors
• Must provide ongoing environmental support to Management and rest of the EIA team
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Environmental Management / or Environmental Consulting
• Environmental Management degree / relevant tertiary qualification
• Experience in EIA’s, EMP’s and PPP’s
• MS Word, Excel, Projects and PowerPoint – all intermediate level at least
• Experience in Environmental Auditing, designing, development and implementation of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2004) will be an advantage
• Consulting experience is preferred
• Good report writing and presentation skills
