Responsibilities:
• Conduct feasibility studies, Basic Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) according to the new EIA legislation (2010)
• Plan and execute Public Participation Processes (PPP) from start to final notifications
• Liaise with clients in both the private and public sectors
• Responsible for compiling project proposals, environmental reports and training and awareness material
• Develop Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Environmental Management Programmes
• Conduct environmental monitoring, reviews and audits
• Must provide ongoing support to the environmental team and the Unit Managers
Requirements:
• Environmental Management degree / relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 3-5 years environmental management experience
• Proven track record in project management of EIAs, including project costing and timing
• Intermediate to advanced MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Qualification and experience in ecological / biodiversity assessments and wetland delineations will be advantageous
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
