An international gold mining giant is seeking two Section Managers for their underground gold mines
Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the assets are optimally managed to obtain optimum equipment life and availability at the most economical cost
• Ensure that the service and maintenance is provided to the Mine and the surrounding communities
• Ensure the management of all relevant contractors
• Ensure the monitoring, controlling and managing of financial planning and expenditure in order to maximise return on investment in terms of the Services Section
• Ensure the application and deployment of human resources in a way that maximises the benefit to the business as well as to themselves
• To ensure the competence of all subordinates to deliver the outputs of their jobs
• To ensure that work ethics are of such a nature that workers continuously strive towards improving their own performance
• To ensure the existence of a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractors can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment
• Adhering to all health and safety standards and requirements
Requirements:
• Relevant 4 year Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical)
• GCC Electrical/Mechanical in the Mining Environment
• A minimum of 10 years mining experience, preferably in deep-level gold mining
• A certificate of fitness, or the ability to obtain one.
• A Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.
• Personal attributes: Confident, tenacious, innovative, analytical, proactive and client oriented
