An international gold mining giant is seeking two Section Managers for their underground gold mines

Responsibilities:

      Ensure that the assets are optimally managed to obtain optimum equipment life and availability at the most economical cost
      Ensure that the service and maintenance is provided to the Mine and the surrounding communities
      Ensure the management of all relevant contractors
      Ensure the monitoring, controlling and managing of financial planning and expenditure in order to maximise return on investment in terms of the Services Section
      Ensure the application and deployment of human resources in a way that maximises the benefit to the business as well as to themselves
      To ensure the competence of all subordinates to deliver the outputs of their jobs
      To ensure that work ethics are of such a nature that workers continuously strive towards improving their own performance
      To ensure the existence of a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractors can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment
      Adhering to all health and safety standards and requirements

Requirements:

      Relevant 4 year Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical)
      GCC Electrical/Mechanical in the Mining Environment
      A minimum of 10 years mining experience, preferably in deep-level gold mining
      A certificate of fitness, or the ability to obtain one.
      A Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.
      Personal attributes: Confident, tenacious, innovative, analytical, proactive and client oriented
