As Chief Chemist for my clients Mining and Laboratory Divisions you will be primarily responsible for evaluating all test results, ensuring technical accuracy for all clients.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate and ensure technical accuracy of analytical results
• Monitor analytical processes and take remedial action where deviations/ discrepancies arise impacting on the quality of analytical results
• Keep abreast with the new trends and current developments within the analytical science
• Assist in the effective and optimal utilization of staff, equipment and facilities within the department.
• Comply and conform to the Quality Management System (ISO17025 and SANAS).
• Manage special projects as allocated from start to completion
You will need:
• B.Sc degree or relevant diploma in Analytical Chemistry
• Minimum 8 years experience within an XRF Department with 3 years management experience
• Must have full understanding of the LIMS system
• Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management System
