A client is urgently seeking a Foreman Drilling and Blasting for their mine. You will need to assure the product quantity through effective monitoring and controlling of mining production processes as well as optimal utilisation of equipment to ensure the drilling of holes for blasting according to week plan product within budgetary limits.
Responsibilities:
· Need to assure the product quantity through effective monitoring and controlling of mining production processes
· Ensure optimum utilisation of equipment to ensure the drilling of holes for blasting according to week plan product within budgetary limits.
· To see that human resources are optimised in a way that maximum output is delivered by the section as a whole and that all workers are competent to deliver the outputs of their jobs.
· Ensure that environmental pollution remains within statutory requirements and that a safe and healthy work environment without the risk of injuries or damage to equipment exist and is properly maintained.
Requirements:
· Knowledge of mining drilling processes as well as of the Mine, Health and Safety Act.
· Supervision, analytical and coaching skills as well as interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to handle conflict, to build relationships and build your team.
· Highly motivated, and be familiar with emergency procedures.
· It will be of assistance to you in this role to be assertive and time conscious as well as organised.
· You also need to be client orientated and performance driven.
· Grade 12 certificate
· Blasting certificate
· Valid Code 08 driver's licence
· Required to work shifts
· Minimum 5 year's relevant mining production experience
· Required to pass a medical fitness certificate
