Our client – a leading mining company is in need of a Mine Manager at their underground mine

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-      Interphases with other departmental managers and superintendents as part of the management team
-      Review mining methods and implements optimisation programs where appropriate
-      Ensure the provisions of the act and regulations are complied with and the implementation of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System within the underground mine
-      Directing and managing all mining production activities.
-      Managing  all capital projects of the mine and applications of the Finance of all capital projects
-      Monitors production results on a progressive basis and prepares monthly progress and variance reports;

REQUIREMENTS:
-      4 – 8 years’ experience in underground mining (at least 3 years at a management level)
-      BSc degree in Mining Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification
-      Mine Manager Government Certificate of Competency essential
-      Experience in a senior mine planning and production roles in a underground production in an underground mine
