A client is urgently seeking a Superintendent Mine Services within their open-cast mine
DUTIES:
· Ensuring that Department is complying with the legislation requirements
· Managing the identification of the mining modelling system by updating geological data on the system
· Control and managing of ore utilisation
· Implementation of company safety standards and legislations
· Manpower training and application of advanced HR principles
· Managing Health and Safety by conducting inspections and emergency evacuations
· Project management skills which includes CAPEX
· Ad-hoc duties related to the discipline of Geology
· Responsible for man power development and performance
· Compiling of mine plan and ensuring that mine plan is aligned to company strategy and needs
· Management of Department by overseeing the efficacy of the Geology Department for phosphate deposits analysis
· Budgets and report management and administrative control
· Identifying specific areas for mineral exploitation
REQUIREMENTS:
· At least 5 years ‘experience within an open-cast mining environment
· BSc in Mining Engineering/BSc Hons Geology or relevant qualification
