International gold mining giant is urgently seeking Senior Rock Engineers at their underground mines.
Responsibilities:
• Helping in the draft, review and maintenance of all known relevant Strata Control standards
• Be assistance in the benchmark of relevant Strata Control functional methodology, processes and systems
• Compliant to the Strata Control Plan
• Offer assistance in the detailed design and sequencing of Strata Control activities to be performed by the Operations function.
• Conceptualise and document the agreement of actionable relevant Strata Control plans with Operational personnel
• Report Operational Strata Control performance achieved and compliance to detailed plan
• Participation in auditing compliance to relevant Strata Control standards at Asset/Operations
• Report any relevant Strata Control standard changes into Asset/Operations
Requirements:
• A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or Geosciences
• A Chamber of Mines Rock Engineering Certificate
• 5 years rock engineering experience (with 2 years relevant deep-level mining experience)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability and experience to lead and manage staff reporting to the position
