I am seeking a Senior Geology/Mining Database Administrator with experience working with extensive relational database management systems to join a leading global mining data management company, providing consultancy services to the mining and exploration industry.
Main Responsibilities
• Compilation and administration of geological and mining resource data
• Implementation and support for software products
• Client communication and support
Requirements
• Tertiary Qualification in Geology – Mining and/or Geology
• At least 8 years experience as a practising Geologist
• At least 4 years experience as a database administrator
• Experience with SQL 2005-2008, maintenance and support skills
• Must demonstrate a superior knowledge of the industry in Africa
• Well developed interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
