A leading mining consulting company seeks a Principal Mining Engineer to join their offices in Johannesburg
Responsibilities:
·         Leading a multi-disciplined team to conduct Pre-feasibility, Concept, Due Diligence and Feasibility Studies
·         Liaising with clients to ensure project alignment with clientele’s expectations
·         Leading and organising technical teams in carrying out these studies, including site visits to mines and projects worldwide
·         Compiling proposals and technical reports
·         Controlling project performance through budgeting, invoicing and monthly project status reports
·         Developing new client base through personal contacts and maintaining current clients
·         Compiling Competent Person and Competent Valuator Reports
Requirements:
      On mine experience to at least middle management level.
      Exposure to engineering study work.
      Participation in Life of Mine Planning process
      Proficiency in mining software packages (e.g. GEMS, Whittle, Datamine, Mine 2 4D) is preferable
      BSc (Mining Engineering) and Pr Eng
      Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (preferable)
      Minimum of 10 years post-graduation
Opportunity within the company
      Appointment to Partner will be available after a period of two years and is dependent on performance as well.
      This is an opportunity to work on a multi-commodity environment on different locations
