Our international mining client – a leading mining company is urgently seeking an Underground Mine Manager for their mine
Responsibilities:
- Directing and managing all mining production activities.
- Managing all capital projects of the mine and applications of the Finance of all capital projects
- Monitors production results on a progressive basis and prepares monthly progress and variance reports
- Interphases
with other departmental managers and superintendents as part of the management team - Ensure the provisions of the act and regulations are complied with and the implementation of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System within the underground mine
- Review mining methods and implements optimisation programs where appropriate
Requirements:
- Blasting certificate or relevant MQA qualification
- English proficiency and computer literacy
- Grade 12 (Maths and Science) and a Code 08 driver’s license
- 5 Years gold mining production management experience
- BSc degree in Mining Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage
- Medical Certificate of Fitness
- Mine Manager and Mine Overseer Government Certificates of Competency are essential
