Environmental Specialist – Ambient Air Monitoring

I am seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to provide specialist input, project management and consulting services into my clients Ambient Air Monitoring operations in South Africa.

Responsibilities
• Planning and scheduling of work to be conducted by members of the team, agree target dates for site work, reporting. Where necessary ensure that changes to schedules are negotiated with and understood by customers.
• Project tracking and reporting against target schedule dates in conjunction with management
• Assist in implementation of quality system and manage it when accreditation received
• Data management
• Compiling high quality reports for all aspects of Ambient and associated work
• Interactions with Field Officers regarding Siting and sample changing issues
• Proposal generation for new and retainer clients
• Understanding and implementing the correct Scope and Work
• Site and Client visits to perform Audits
• Client liaison

Requirements
• Environmental Science, Science or Engineering Degree or Diploma with good understanding of laboratory processes
• Minimum 2 years experience in consulting or laboratory analysis
• Knowledge of sample handing and lab process
• Strong technical knowledge of Ambient Air Monitoring
• Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously
• Business and profit minded with related technical knowhow

Contract Status
This is a permanent role to be based in South Africa. My client requires South African nationals
