Our international mining giant is seeking an Instrumental Engineer to provide specialised instrumental engineering knowledge and core skills.  Facilitating and executing instrumental engineering support functions to enable Operations to focus on volumes, cost and HSE

Responsibilities:
      Maintaining, draft and review of all identifiable engineering discipline specific standards
      Represent the Asset at all statutory and/or standards generating bodies with your specific Engineering discipline; this will include but not be limited to SANS, SACEA, SACPS, DMR and COM
      Deliver, where required, discipline specific input into the Engineering Technology Plan
      Detailed design and authorization of any discipline specific Engineering designs required by the Asset/Operations
      Reviewing compliance to applicable Engineering discipline specific standards at Asset/Operations
      Report any relevant instrumental engineering discipline specific standard changes into Asset/Operations

Requirements:

      Ability to identify and assess key operational Engineering risk factors and problems at an early stage
      ECSA Registered Professional Engineer with specific discipline
      In-depth knowledge of maintenance, processing and mining methods specifically related to U/G and O/C Operations
      Great interpersonal skills and proven “Team Player”
      Proven ability to solve problems and deal with ambiguity
      Engineering (specific discipline) exposure and demonstrable previous results
      Experience in coal mining industry will be an added advantage
      Accredited South African Colliery Engineers Association member
      Instrumental Engineering tertiary qualification
      8 years relevant experience
      Maintenance and production experience on Operations
