Water Systems Sales Engineer – Chemical Engineering

As Sales Engineer you will be responsible for developing the marketing and sales function of my clients operations and facilitating the sales of Water System components to the Engineering, Mining, Construction and Environmental sectors. You will also be responsible for all after market support and assistance.

Responsibilities
• Technical and commercial support of customers (internal / external)
• Preparation of process design solutions for water treatment applications for all industry sectors within a time-scale acceptable to Pall’s Customers
• Assist in Customer meetings to justify and “sell” the process solution
• Review of Customer technical specifications, participate in risk assessments
• Preparation of technical specifications for quotations – P&IDs, Equipment specifications, Mass Balances, Chemical Consumptions etc
• Estimation of costs based on some internal information and also seeking quotations from 3rd party suppliers
• Assist Project Managers in Process and Functional Design, Equipment selection.

Requirements
• Bachelor of Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree preferred
• Associate (or full Chartered) Member of the Institute of Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Theoretical and practical experience of fluid mechanics, transport and storage of fluids
• Understanding of the fundamentals of Filtration and Separation technologies (e.g. UF, RO, EDI, MBR), Clean and Waste Water Treatment Processes, HAZOP/Safety Review principles, operational control of Process Equipment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A good telephone manner and proven telephone skills are essential
