A Swiss based company with a new patented product for the underground mining industry is seeking a Product Trainer/Implementation Manager to build product awareness, market and develop new business for the product. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of a new technology in the Underground Mining Industry in Australia and South Africa for a global operational company.
This position will be based in South Africa and the candidate will be required to travel to Australia as well
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Product and business development of the new underground support technology
- You will travel on site and support the regional managers and project leaders in the underground mines
- Work closely with the head office based in Australia
- Project Coordination
- Support the potential customers and their operators with technical facts, field tests and background information
- Client relationship building
- Willingness to conduct practical product demonstrations within an underground mining environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with the product end-users (miners, drill operators) and as well as with relevant candidates at a managerial level
- For this purpose you will be properly trained by the company and will have the backup with the engineers in the technical department
- Be part of a dynamic company and act as knowhow source between the different countries and also co-ordinate the activities with the global mining houses
- Site implementation and establishment
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of underground Mining or Tunnelling equipment and processes
- Highly motivated to establish the new technology in the Mining industry
- +5 years’ experience in an underground mining development and/or production position
- Experience in operating drill machines within an underground mining environment (Jumbos)
- Business oriented post-graduation qualification would be advantageous
