Job purpose is to evaluate the OHS Management system, deliver OHS courses & training, compiling of short & medium term planning as per Mine Health & Safety Act, and National Nuclear Regulatory Act within a mining company.
This includes compiling budget forecasts and planning of vent holes & airways required.
To join this Occupational Hygiene team the candidate is required to have the following;
REQUIREMENTS:
· M.S.M. (Modern Safety Management)
· F.P.A. (Fire Prevention Association – Advanced)
· MEC (Certificate in Environmental Control)
· R.P.M. (Radiation Protection Monitor)
· Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control and Certificate in Environmental Control issued by the Chamber of Mines
· Certified by the South African Institute of Occupational Hygienist as an Occupational Hygienist
· At least 5 years’ work experience in an Occupational Hygiene role
· Grade 12 with Maths, Science and preferably Biology as well
