Geochemistry Business Unit Manager – South Africa - GM286

I am seeking an exceptional Geochemistry/Metallurgically biased Business Unit Manager to take full responsibility for two of my client’s departments, with the focus being on managing the Geochemistry Unit, ensuring the marketing strategy is developed and implemented and operational/level of technical delivery is maintained. This is a newly created role and the successful incumbent will be able to show substantial experience in building, developing and maintaining all aspects of a Mineral/Metallurgical Department.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Developing marketing strategies and concepts
• Identifying market and customer potential
• Long and short term strategic development of business
• Building and maintaining a client focused and motivated team
• Take responsibility for all associated operations and department efficiency
• Assist in budgeting process

Requirements
• BSc or NDip in Chemistry or equivalent
• Business qualification an advantage
• Minimum of 5 years experience in an international environment at a senior level
• Able to translate marketing strategy into pragmatic action plans and execute
• Able to interact with clients at all levels
• Must have technical product knowledge, local; regional and global knowledge of market segments
