Africa Regional Manager – Mining Data Management - South Africa

I am seeking a business orientated Geologist to manage my clients operations across the African continent where the primary focus is the provision of software solutions allowing exploration organisations to properly manage all practical data.

Main Responsibilities
• Manage all operations in Africa
• Provide disciplined communication and reporting to Head Office on weekly basis, including weekly minutes, schedule and debtor performance
• Manage and grow a small team of data administrators in the Johannesburg office
• Manage all workflows for scoping of work
• Develop new business from existing and new clients
• Monitor and manage budget for Africa
• Manage marketing and sales campaigns for potential client
• Business Development

Requirements
• BSc (Honours) Geology
• Minimum of 10 years business experience
• Technical knowledge in the mining and exploration industry.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients in a professional manner
• Expert knowledge of management principals and theories and displaying strong planning, organising and controlling skills
• High level of interpersonal skills in areas including communication, delegation, negotiation and resolving conflict
• Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to work constructively in a team environment
• High level of business development skills and a growing reputation based on specialised skills
