A global mining client has an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Group Manager. The successful candidate will be providing support and reporting to the Executive Manager: HR at their corporate office in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities:
·         Identify training requirements, implement and development
·         Prepare a training plan to meet the operational plan, based on skills needs analysis, training needs analysis
·         Evaluate and manage the development of training materials/modules and methodologies for delivery of training
·         Provide guidance and assistance in development and delivery of all training services
·         Reports to the Executive Manager: HR
·         Developing training framework, plan and calendar for training and development in place
·         Management of Skills Development Analysis and Workplace Skills Plan

Requirements:
·         Significant experience across a spectrum of Training and Development area within a global organisation
·         Procedure development
·         Experience Developing procedures and work instructions
·         Experience of the Development and Implementation of a Training Plan
·         Tertiary qualification (B degree or B-Tech in HRD)
·         At least 5 years’ experience in the field or 10 years as generalist with strong HRD background (experience in a mining environment will be advantageous)
·         Extensive knowledge on relevant legislation e.g. Skills Development Act, Levies Act, Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, Energy Efficiency Act
·         Strong managerial and leadership skills
·         Great communication skills at all levels
·         Experience Training and Development experience in a global organisation
·         Social and emotional intelligence skills
·         Ability to deal with Organized Labour representatives
